St Mary and St James Church is located at the heart of the Lockleaze estate in Bristol. Originally we were two separate churches facing challenges who were amalgamated by the Bristol Diocese in 2019. Since then, we have been known as St Mary and St James Church and is now a growing and thriving part of the community.   

Led by our vicar Rob and supported by a dedicated leadership team, we strive to be a place of hope, inclusion, and spiritual growth. Whether you are new to the area, exploring faith, or simply visiting, we warmly welcome you to join us in worship, fellowship, and service.

We have firmly established ourself as a welcoming and inclusive church for everyone in the community, embodying our mission as we Love Jesus, Love people and Love Lockleaze.

Bible groups

Our Bible reading group groups meet up a couple of times during the week, so you can choose which one suits your life best

Weekly prayers

Held at our local church, our prayers do not discriminate and are open to all members of the community.

We organise various activities throughout the calendar year with friendly community, local school and so on.
